Shah Rukh Khan To Shoot Pathaan 2 After King

Actor Shah Rukh Khan is all set to begin Pathaan 2 and is currently shooting for King with daughter Suhana Khan’s big-screen debut. A new report has now mentioned that SRK will be immediately moving to shoot Pathaan 2 with Aditya Chopra after finishing the Siddharth Anand-directorial which is in the year 2026.

Shah Rukh Khan To Start Shooting For Pathaan 2 In 2026

As per Peepingmoon.com, Chopra has been working on the script for around two years and the sequel is finally ready to go on the floor next year, with the preparations beginning by the end of this year.

As per their sources, “Aditya has been working on the script for ‘Pathaan 2’ since mid-2023. The sequel is designed not only to carry forward Pathaan’s story but also to lay the groundwork for larger conflicts in upcoming instalments of YRF’s Spy Universe.”

The source added, “It was due to the extensive planning and intricate storytelling that the scripting process took so long. Aditya, along with Sridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala, has crafted an exhilarating, high-stakes script that promises to surpass the first instalment in both scale and intensity.”

About Pathaan

Pathaan starred Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, and Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in supporting roles. The film was directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It also had a cameo of Salman Khan in the film. Pathaan has also become the biggest film for YRF and the second biggest for Shah Rukh by collecting Rs 543.09 crore nett in its lifetime run at the box office.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Work Front

On the work front, the father daughter duo will be next seen in an action thriller film which has been titled The King. It will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh. As per the reports, the budget of the film is Rs 200 crore.

Reportedly, The King will feature Shah Rukh as a mentor to Suhana’s character and is going to be in the same zone as the 1994 acclaimed actioner Leon.
